((((((((( MorningGlory, Bren, Lynne, Shelby, Robin, Lisa, Santiken )))))))))  :love9:

Thinking of you and sending you all a big hug and lots of love. The holidays are fast approaching - Thanksgiving is less than eight weeks away - and for most this will be your *first* since your loves died.

I'll be posting some articles for you to read that may be helpful dealing with the months ahead.

With Understanding,
Terry

Hugs and love to all of you.

I do think of all of you, I haven't been very strong lately. Avoiding talking to anyone and hiding. Dealing with childhood trauma and strong emotions. Not sure how I feel right now or what to do with it.
I will be taking Rieki classes October 10 and 11. Looking forward to it and not sure how things will go between now and then.
I have a mouse in the house and I was going to trap it humanely. It's been here for awhile and I had left it alone. I really didn't want to kill it and then I just got online to find out what to do about it. It talked about how sick you can get from the urine and I didn't know that. I knew the urine wasn't good for you but I didn't realized how bad it could get. I also found out that if you don't release it quickly after you catch it it can die anyway because of the stress of being trapped. I am so tired of death I don't want to kill it but killing it quickly is probably better then trapping it and having it die while I am sleeping because it gets stressed out. So now I'm crying over a stupid mouse.

Hi Shelby,

I'm so sorry you're feeling so down.

But I wanted to chime in on the mouse issue. When Tom and I first moved out to the country, every country mouse in the county converged on our house. And we had several humane traps. It was our experience that the mice could last several hours - we never had any die on us. We were cute back in those days ... we'd take the trap and carry it up to our riding arena (which is at the back of the property) and we'd set them free. And the mice, despite how long they'd been in the trap, would scamper away.

So maybe the humane trap is still an option. You never know until you try.

Love you!!

Temporary holding area until mice can be released into the woods. Peanut butter on a cracker and that will draw them in.

I like this one, pictured above. But they can be costly so I offered another alternative.

This link below is to a video where you can make your own. Remember to drill some holes in the container as I didn't notice a clear path to the little ones being able to breath before setting them free.

Good Luck!

Holding you close as you deal with painful childhood trauma. ((((((Shelby))))))

Thank you both, I took too long trying to figure it out. The mouse, I think, has died in the wall. It stinks horribly in my bedroom and that's what maintenance thinks happened. Hoping it was the only one. I think it was because of how little mouse poop I found around here and it didn't chew into any clothes or anything. Of course it also may have been going into other apartments. This place has baseboard heaters and it could have traveled. I made sure most of my food was in jars or off the ground where it couldn't get it even before I knew it was here.

Hugs
Shelby

Oh, that "mouse in the wall" smell is horrible ... I had to deal with that right after Tom passed ... in my home office. And it just happened to be the wall of the house that gets baked by the sun. Two Yankee Candles and some Febreze helped me get through a few hours of work until the smell finally went away.

Hugs to you Shelby. I'm thinking of you.

Terry,

Thank you I always think of you and others.  I know I haven't written in a long time doesn't mean I don't care.  I have been having medical problems and trying to get them figured out going to specialists. I have another test at the end of the month doctor needs to rule out.

My back has been out again too, ugh. I go get a shot next Friday. I know others are worse off then me that's why I try not to complain.

I can't believe Nov 22 will be 5 years since I loss Lou  :tearyeyed:

Hi Lynne,

Your message is for "Lisa" as she is the one having medical issues. You had addressed it to me in error. (honest mistake) :icon_flower: I know Lisa appreciates your message.

Have you tried using a walker? I have a dear friend with MS and she can no longer walk without the aid of a walker as she's had so many falls.

Love,
Terry
