Incognito
« on: August 15, 2013, 11:34:33 PM »
Still languishing from my weekly migraines, grief for Maureen, and bewilderment/hurt/anger at my ex gf, and also from isolation from someone who really seems to understand my plight. My free time is spent in isolation trying to get my post concussion syndrome symptoms under control with pain meds while trying to live a normal life. This means being cooped up In the house trying together the rest I need to stop the headaches during most of my free time.  Just like the period following Maureen's death,I've come to start dreading the weekends for the mediocrity and tedium they bring from being cooped up in my house all day.
And of course I cannot help but think about the precious times with my wife all during these times. Still waiting for that light at the end of the tunnel.

I know exactly where you're coming from.

Is there a light or just bigger lies one tells oneself? I'm still waiting for that mythical day.

As for the weekends....yeah.

Take care ((((((((Arthur))))))))

I am praying you get better.  Take care of you.

As for being angry at your ex, try to forgive her it only adds stress to everything you are going through.  I know it's easier said then done.  I sent you an article to your email on WB.

We will be healing for the rest of our lives.  I still have bad days.  There isn't a day I don't think of Lou or talk to him.

Don't give up on the light at the end of the tunnel.  You will get there and see it.  It takes time I have light it might not be the brightest but it's light.

Sending you love, peace , hope and light my friend  :engel2:

Always,
Lisa

I know I will see you again

Hey friend, the only thing I can offer for the weekends or any time when it's especially difficult for you, having to deal with the loneliness is to try to stay busy. Find something. Anything to do around those times. I know you're not feeling well so that may limit your activities quite a bit but I'm sure you can think of something. Do let me know when you do.

There IS a light. It may not be at the end of a tunnel. It may be burning somewhere in one of the rooms off to the side. :icon_flower:

'You' are a light, Arthur. You shine bright every time you open that beautiful heart and share words of kindness when others are feeling so low and so hopeless. When my precious, beautiful Father died, you were the one who opened your heart (in more ways than I could count) to me and filled it with so much joy and comfort. You'll never know what your words meant to me at a time like that. And, I love you for that.

So, don't be too concerned about that tunnel because you shine all by yourself. :icon_cheers:

With love & respect,
Terry

Hi Terry..
I found your post and the posts of others to my thread so inspirational and moving that I am printing them and posting them on my fridge to remind myself that I am not alone in my recovery. I am really truly flattered and speechless Terry to your post.  I will remember yours and Lisa's and Zylen's posts during the next migraine attack that forces me to stay in the house.
((((Terry)))), ((((Zylen)))),((((Lisa))))..thank you guys so much!!

First I want to apologize if my response sounded hard. Someone else who posts on the boards here didn't like it and told me to 'live life if i wanted to see light'. I told them that you would get what I meant, but if not then I apologize.

Getting a 'live life' coming from where it did made me feel like I hit rock bottom, but it may work for you.
And honestly, I think everyone here is trying to figure how to 'live life' again anyway.

Hoping your days are brighter,
(((((((((Arthur)))))))))

Arthur, I'm so sorry to hear about the struggles with the headaches, Maureene, and the ex-girlfriend on top of that! You've been very helpful to many people here on the board.

I wish I had something brilliant to say, but unfortunately, I don't. I recently had a thing that's causing some emotional struggles for me.

Just know that people here care...and I LOVE what Terry said up there about the light.

I hope things get better for you soon.

I've been talking about it a bit with a couple of the ladies on another thread, Arthur. Terry has helped a lot. I think it actually just got a lot better this morning!!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.
