Thank you, ladies. I miss him. I was really sad when I went to put flowers on his grave and I was the only one that did so. I am sure he was in the thoughts of those that knew him, but I couldn't believe no one else put a flower down for him.
I can certainly relate to the hurt you feel and have recently shared with another member that it seems the ones we're closest to and share memories of our loved ones with, are the ones that fade all too quickly when we need them the most.
I have learned over time that I, alone am responsible (if that's the pc word) for keeping all of my loved ones alive in the hearts of others. They didn't love them the way I did and although at times I feel that the same attention/respect should be paid them, almost in the same breath I realize that I am being unrealistic.
I wish I could figure some people out but I've never been able to, Pam. It hurts, deeply when we feel that others should be doing more.
Know I understand and I care.
