Mike
« on: January 11, 2010, 06:31:04 AM »
My husband Mike's 46th birthday is today. I miss him every single day. I am bringing flowers to the cemetary and the kids each have a balloon to let go from our house. This seems like someone else's life, not ours. No asking why though, no answers there, just more questions -so forget it. Mike always had the nicest things to say to and about everyone. I cannot think of a single negative or even someone who did not enjoy his company enormously. I am so afraid that this pain will always feel so unbearable, and mostly I just wish he would be here where he belongs. Well, it does help to tell someone, all my friends here and i have some dear friends in my life who care. But grief is a lonely road, that is how I feel, I don't want any of the lessons and stuff out of this, I just don't want it to be true. Thanks for listening, peace to all.
We love you Mike.
Love everything about you.
your wife

Happy Birthday to Mike
I went through the 1st one 2mths after Cathy died last year. It was not easy. I also went to the cemetery that day with extra roses. As it is each Sunday, until the snow made me stop, I used to go visit Cathy. I will start up again in the spring. The help I get on this site from all of you greeters makes things easier to cope with. Georgia and Loving, keep up the good work for all of us here. It also goes without saying for everyone else on this site that can help others. I try but at times I have no words so it is better to say nothing than something silly.
Take care Loving
Allan
My darling wife Cathy
Love you

Terri,

I wish Mike a very Happy Birthday and I wish that you and your family may find peace and happiness as you reflect upon the love and life all of you shared with the man that changed your world forever.

We share this road of sorrow while each maintaining our solitude on the journey hoping and praying that someone or something will end the pain. We carry with us the burden of our love and wish, but for one moment in time, it would never change. Saddled with our grief we march through each day and live, not for ourselves, but for those we love left behind with us.

I understand how you feel. I wish that I could explain it better, but more so I wish that none of us were here sharing the circumstances that have brought us together. I hope you had as good a day as possible Terri and take comfort in the thought that Mike was with you and holding you and your family in the best way he can.

Sean
No matter how far or how long life takes me away, I will never forget you. Always in my heart and always on my mind until my final breath.

Thanks for the nice comments and caring thoughts, it really means alot. I wish everyone a little rest in this. I am just sleeping alot and reading, taking it easy, trying to get used to the quiet of our home now. Kids are well, including my youngest- he needs alot of help but he is peaceful and healthy. They seem to miss their Dad so much, but they have that good energy of kids to keep moving. Hope everyone else here is doing okay today.

Terri,

Sorry you are having to go through the sorrow.  I wish we didn't have to go through this seemingly lever ending heartache.  I hope your husband's birthday was not all sadness, but maybe some good memories too, although I know none of us really want just memories.  We want what we can't have, but that only makes us suffer more.  Maybe it will help you to know that he is not forgotten.  We know he lived and had profound and lasting influence on many lives.  In that way, he lives on.

Peace and Healing,
mousewife
