I took the day off not intending to accomplish anything other than needing to do a load of laundry. I went to the bookstore, took my girlfriend out to lunch, later went to a coffee shop, watched a good movie on the tv and am watching some football, sent a few emails.

Yesterday cut the grass in front and back garden; pruned a number of bushes; shopped for necessary stuff for week-end; got appointment list in order; then travelled to friend's new house, who had asked me to advise her on interior decor ideas; that took up several hours, between driving and discussing things; galloped home, (stopping to do lotto! lol); caught up on emails; talked to friend who had leg operation; did few chores; got dinner; ironed a few of my dresses; read for a little while;

Today I visited my husband in hospital (two hours driving to get there and two back, and three hours spent at the hospital).
A degree of organisation is required to do all that, and it is important to look and talk upbeat and cheery when you get there.

A number of my good (long-time) friends called me after I got home, and my cousin, to offer some kind words, and to ask how I am doing.
And no, I did not snap their heads off when they also spoke about a couple of other topics with me.

By the way, good old friends are a "two-way" thing.  One has to be a friend oneself, in order to have a friend.  The thick and thin sort of friends, I mean.

Best to all
Seven

* Finally was able to look at the death certificate so I could mail a copy to her cancel her health insurance. I was afraid to look at it because on another board there were so many people who said the cause of death was different than what they were told in the hospital, so they were very upset for various reasons. I guess I was nervous that would happen on my Mom's certificate, but it didn't. There were no surprises.

* Took care of about 4 paperwork-related things I've been procrastinating on.

Hope you are doing okay... I also hope you can take it as easy as possible while it heals- you never expect your kids will physically hurt you- then they do it. i feel for you. Sending you patience and care. Terri

Thank you Terri
The eye is getting better and I don't think I lost eyesight which is good. I have been on 3 types of meds for it and its always blurry. I might follow up with eye doc next week just in case. eyes usually heal well and fast so I think Ill be fine. Abigail felt so badly, all I got were magic kisses on my eye for two days. God Ilove my kids. How are you? healing I hope.
Today I am having lunch with my Aunt
having special time with Abigail as Laura is off to the theme park
doing laundry....yet
