Socal I like Georgia's post about your birthday, I bet it was your Mom's favorite day!
Let's see yesterday:
Went to the beach and hung out with five kids who are in my life
Made lunch for everyone at beach
Drove home two hours after changing in a dunkin donuts bathroom
Thought how funny my husband would have found this whole trip to the beach
I got home at 8pm went grocery shopping and actually put the food away- which is an accomplishment, thanks socal.
Take care, terri

Wednesday

- Woke up feeling really tired, but got over it quickly.

- Had a pretty productive morning at work

- Went for lunch with my daughter's mother-in-law (bossy, opinionated woman that she is). I got angry with her but held it in a remained civil. I need to remind myself never to do that again. :-)

- afternoon went quickly, got tons done. I'm almost caught up on the 3 weeks I missed.

- a friend came for dinner, so made a nice dinner and was happy to have someone appreciate it with me. We ate picnic style in Fred's room. Ate on paper plates with plastic utensils. No dishes!!

- after my friend left, I got a phone call from another, then my mother.

- had trouble getting to sleep, but didn't cry, didn't feel sorry for myself. I didn't cry once all day.

This was the best day I've had so far since Fred died. I feel good about it and yet somehow guilty.
We're amazingly complex creatures, aren't we?

Thursday

- Again woke up tired ( I've got to get more sleep)

- the day passed without incident, I didn't cry, not even once. Didn't even feel sad. Didn't get as much work done as the day before. but that's ok.

- came home, warmed up left overs, cleaned up, and had a bath. All before 7 PM. I took a Nytol and was asleep just after 9.

- woke up several times during the night, had dreams that I can't remember

Maybe I'm moving into my new normal?

SoCal, I'm sorry, I didn't wish you a happy birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, belated. This world is a better place because you were born. Don't you ever doubt that.

Let's see, what good happened today??????

- I woke up after 8 1/2 hours of sleep. That's the most I've had in ages and ages. I was tired initially but that passed in no time.

- I got tons done at work. I'm completely caught up on the work I missed while away for 3 weeks.

- My assistant was away sick today, and I was so glad. Sometimes she aggravates me. It was nice and quiet.

- The day isn't over yet, I'm  hoping to do something worthwhile before I go to bed.

- I'm amazed how I've bounced back. Not completely bounced back, but more than I thought I would. It was almost an overnight thing. One day I was crying all day, the next I was a contributing member of society.

- I didn't pull anyone down into the pits today... not one person.

I hope everyone has something good to say today. Next!

I had 2 delicious pancakes for breakfast.

I really took it easy today and loafed for the most part.

Made arrangements for my storage shed to get painted and my driveway sealed

watched a couple of good movies on tv and got a couple of  calls.

Im grateful for the day.

got woken up real early from a cute little boy today, ate fishies with him (and coffee)
then went school shopping , can you believe it?
bought some mums, the only flowers I can keep alive, put groceries away and have been puttering around doing little things, now I have to drop off my son for a game of manhunt, then try to keep my eyes open to pick him up later, enjoy  :D

georgia.

p.s. how was your dinner?
