Bitter Sweet News
« on: September 04, 2008, 02:48:04 PM »
Hi all, Just had to shout out. I was at the store today and ran into one of my son's best friends, we chated a while and as I was ready to go he told me that Chad had always been his best friend and he was honoring him. I ask what he was talking about. He told me that he and his wife just had a son and gave him Chad's middel name in honor of there friendship. I told him how that it made me so happy yet sad also. And he replyed that he would never forget the friendship they shared.

Charles - What a wonderful tribute to your son! I understand how it is so bittersweet.. Seems everything happy includes a mixture of sadness with it in this "after" life.. I always find it comforting when Chris' friends do something in remembrance of him..

hugs, Karen

That is so wonderful. I can understand the different emotions that it may bring to you though. Your son must have been a really good friend to that young man. Blessings to you.
