Ok, I have another one for all of you . . . I thrive on my memories of my little ding-dong Landon!
My daughter Lyndsay was going to homecoming one year (think she was in the 11th grade) and came home from a tanning session (first time spray-on tan) that, when she got home, we noticed (eeek) it was a bit "dark" but she was told it should lighten-up by morning once she took her shower. Along came morning . . .
I was getting ready for work and had just dished the boys up some cereal at the dining room table when Lyndsay, who'd just gotten out of the shower, began walking up the stairs to where we all were sitting. Landon, who had been studying Martin Luther King all week long, glanced down at Lyndsay as she walked up the stairs. The look on his face was priceless . . . unfortunately, Lyndsay had mis-calculated the "spray-on" tan potency and was much
darker than she'd been the night before (which I don't think she knew). As she came up the stairs, Landon stated without the slightest hesitation (and I think he honestly believed this), "
LYNDSAY !!! If Martin Luther King hadn't been born, you'd have to sit at the
BACK OF THE BUS !!!"
Priceless . . . that was
and is my Landon . . .
NEVER a dull moment !!!
Good night all and saying a prayer for all of us and our loved ones tonite . . . good nite sweet Landon, we miss you sooooo much !!
Here's a pic of my boys . . .Landon of course being the 1st one to be covered up in the hole!!!Landon's Mom forever,
