Title: Need Help Daughter Leaving the Nest
Post by: BLESSED2262 on August 28, 2017, 07:20:29 AM
Hello All,
Just discovered this site and have found several forums helpful but just wanted some more current help or advice. My 20 daughter is getting married to her boyfriend of 5 yrs (awesome I know) in less than a week and moving from TN to FL (over 450 miles away) where he is in AF.  I am very happy for them both and happy for their  new lives together and I know  they will come back to visit but it still isn't making this any easier. She has always stayed at home even through 2yrs of college and has always been a homebody and my mini me so I guess that's what makes this sooooo very hard. Just imagining not being able to go and hang out with her for the day or watch Gilmore Girls or Law & Order reruns or just put my arms around her anytime I'd like and give her a great big hug !!! :( My heart is breaking in to and I need to be happy for her especially while we are cramming to get the last things done :( any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!! Ty

Of course virtual communication will not replace the real, but still it is much easier to communicate with those who do not live with you in the same house. You can always write or chat on Skype. Do not be sad :)
