Brenda,

My heart aches for you and your loss, even though I can not begin to imagine the pain of loosing a child.   I would imagine this time of yr would be gut wrenching.   I wish I could bring him back for you.

You're in my thoughts and prayers

Lauren

Every time a friend accomplishes something we hurt, not for the friend but for what our children were not able to.  My heart goes out to you and know that I and all of us know your pain in one way or another.

Oh Brenda, I'm so sorry.
Wade's Class graduates next year and I've thought about this many times already.
It's so confusing and heartbreaking-
I'm thinking of you and Taylor.
Wishing everything was so very different.

hugs,

Wadesmom

Brenda - I'm sorry I missed your post last week - graduation is so hard.. thinking of you and Taylor... he would be so grown up now.. if only..

Next Thursday are the senior awards at Chris' high school, where Amy and Brian will award his scholarship for the 5th time - this will be the first class to graduate who was not in high school with Chris - another milestone..

luv and big hugs, Karen

yes graduations are hard, Tanya's sister Vanessa graduated from CEGEP (which is after high school before University) and is going on to University this year. It feels strange because Tanya had decided to go into the same program with Vanessa . They were 21 months apart.  Tanya was the oldest of my three girls.  Always someone missing....

Brenda,

I wanted to share with you that last weekend we went to our first high school graduation and party.  Like Taylor, Philip never saw his high school graduation...he died the summer before.

It will be 5 years next month that he has been gone and I was actually able to go and feel happy for this handsome young man and his family.  None of that jealousy that I have felt before...none of that raw pain and wishing wishing it was Phil.  It was a major step and one that I'm glad we took.  We actually had a good time and I haven't said that before.  Of course, it wasn't anyone from his high school and we knew no one but the young man and his family which I think helped but it was just one of those very big steps on this journey.

I just know how hard it is for you cause I certainly have felt that but hope for you one day you will be able to take a step like we did...it really did feel good.  I've been amazed.

Hugs,
Jeanne
Philip's mom forever
