YESTERDAY
« on: January 13, 2007, 01:07:03 PM »
Just was thinking of some of the words to that song "yesterday' by the beatles
The words ring so true
Yesterday love was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh Yesterday came suddenly

Don't know all the words

Yesterday all my troubles seem so far away
now it looks as though they're here to stay

It makes me realize how much grief ages you, I feel a hundred years older now w/o Taylor.
I love you Taylor my blue eyed son.
My tears fall like rivers for what we had, we had it all didn't we? Mother and son. You were perfect to me and I just don't know where you started and I ended or you started and I ended. What a bond to break, I'll be missing you forever.

Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be,

There's a shadow hanging over me.

Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Brenda,

What we wouldn't give for yesterday.  Missing the boys with ya.

Brenda,

Your bond is not broken!

The Cord

We are connected,
My child and I,
by An invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord
That connects us 'til birth
This cord can't been seen
By any on Earth.

This cord does it's work
Right from the start.
It binds us together
Attached to my heart.

I know that it's there
Though no one can see
The invisible cord
From my child to me.

The strength of this cord
Is hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed
It can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord
Man could create
It withstands the test
Can hold any weight.

And though you are gone,
Though you're not here with me,
The cord is still there
But no one can see.

It pulls at my heart
I am bruised...
I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline
As never before.

I am thankful that God
Connects us this way
A mother and child
Death can't take it away!

I so very much understand.  My big blue eyed son.  My bond with Christian was so much the same.  Where did I begin and where did he end.  We were a blurr.  I miss him terribly and I have aged as well.

Hugs to you

PAULA

I love that pix of Taylor in the kitchen flexing his muscles - it is such a typical young man's pix and it brings a smile to my face. He looked like a lovely boy.
My love to you,
Paula

To all who responded here.  How do we get the message out and even with out remaining family.  We can't get yesterday back but we must make every minute count for today. It is not a slur against our children who are not with us but to me I think an honor.  My husband had to pick people up at an airport, two hr. trip.  Normally, I would have said something like .. I am tired, you go, or I have laundry to do.. but no, I went with him... so that he had company and if anything happened I was there for him.  Jason would have been happy about this... I have changed so much and some, for the better because I realized how I was before... sad way to make changes for the better... but yesterday is gone to all of us.

Brenda I listen to that song often, seems you and I have many songs in common.

Yesterdays how wonderful they were. See tomorrow can be wonderful today which I never thought would happen but not all tomorrows cause I sure miss those yesterdays. Troubles are here to stay when it comes to our kids that left us way too soon. Things can become easier in many ways but our hearts will always be troubled with missing and loving them and what grief can do in all our tomorrows.

Love
Deb
