I would imagine that your Dad was comforted to know that your Mom has you to help her through this...that she is not totally alone.
Yes "Surreal", i still feel this way when I think about those last 2 weeks. We kinda had thought that maybe there WAS some hope...next thing you know my Dad went in for a regular chemo treatment and instead needed a blood transfusion because his levels were dangerously low. The next day we found out the chemo was not working and there was nothing more they could do...he would die in "weeks". Two weeks later he was gone. It was the most painfully surreal time of my life.
He was so brave and accepting of his fate, he did not fight it or us. He just let it be...my father was an amazing man. He helped us get through his own death..we all helped each other.
