The pain is so strong

The pain is so OVERWHELMING. I can hardly breath. I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. I can hardly stand up under the pain. How do you survive such excruciating pain? This month is one year since I lost my sister and I have been told the pain I am having is just the beginning, that as the month progresses the pain will get worse. That really scares me. Can someone tell me what to do to make the month any easier?

Hi Gail08
I feel yr pain. Sibling loss is such a deep intense grief. We mourn a lot more as they were taken away before their normal life span. I lost my dearest brother on Dec 08 and I still cry. Every day I talk to him and pray that he is in peace in the spiritual world. I take long walks and meditate and that has helped a lot. Nature has a very soothing effect on us. When we look at the tall trees over hundreds of years old we realise that we are but a small entity in this universe.
I listen to meditation Cds by Brian Weiss and he says that we are connected to our loved ones who have passed. Love never ends and we are connected by love.
Take care

The year anniversary is very painful. I was shocked by how painful the anniversary date was for year 1 and 2 for me. You relive those last days. You relive the funeral planning, and the furneral and burial ceremony. You relive in your mind all of those memories.
You've hit a milestone. The days will get easier for awhile, then of course the holidays will hit, which is hard for everyone. Time is on our side. In the meantime, cry, write, talk and reach out for help.
