Lost My Only Sibling

I lost my sister, my only sibling 9 months ago.   We were so very close.  I am still so very numb.  I feel so alone.  I don't know if I will ever be able to accept that she is gone.  She was my best friend and I miss her more than words can say.

Dear Gail08 ~ I am so sorry for the loss of your sister.  But I am glad that you found this site.  There are plenty of people that will offer a kind word when needed, and they really do care.  All of us here, I feel are bonded by losing someone close to them.  I wish none of us had to be here.

I lost my brother March 29, 2009.  The pain I feel is very great, but visiting and posting on this site helps so much.  Although my pain has eased, and sometimes it comes it waves, it's ALWAYS there, in the back of my mind, lurking like a little monster.

Please post again and tell us about your sister if you want to.

Thinking of you and your grief over losing your sister. Browneyed girl is right- this is an active site of caring people dealing with grief. Please feel comfortable to read and post on the boards- the Main board is more active than this one- so post there also.
So sorry for your loss, I hope you will feel able to share some of your experience here and missing your dear sister. I am here fourteen months after losing my husband too soon. It is a challenging journey for all and no right or wrongs, no judging, just trying to get through each hour and day with some strength and peace, that is my wish for you. To keep taking care of yourself and being kind to yourself- so eventually the smiles and shared memories are more prominent in your mind than your pain, eventually.
