http://webhealing.com/forums/chat

Some of you will be able to access it with the button/chat icon on top of this page also.   It depends on what format you are using.  If you see a "Chat" button,  you are probably using the format called SMF.   If you dont see a chat button and only see an x, then you are using something else.

If you want to try a new format,  or if you want to find out which format you are using,  here is how.

1. At the top of this page,  there are several buttons...  home, help,  search, admin, profile, calendar, logout.
there is a button that says "profile".  Click on it.

2.  To the left,  there is a box that says Profile Info   and one that says Modify Profile.

3.  Under Modify Profile, there is a sentence that says Look and Layout.  Click on that.

4.  You will see the word Current Theme in your profile box...  it will tell you which theme you are using  (for example,   mine says "Forum or  Board  Default)
then there is the word "change" next to it.

5.   If you click on the word,   "change" ,  it will open up and list some options.

6. On  SMF  "use this theme" click on it.  and then down at the bottem it will say "Change profile".

This SMF format will  give you a chat room button to click on.  If you dont like this format,  then you can always use the link I provided at the top of this message and go back to the format you were using before.  Personally, I am an old dog who still likes the Forum or Board Default.

If you need help,  send me  or Tom a private message.

You are welcome Lauren.  I am still trying to finish the configuration so it may be a little bumpy for a while.  I also need to put in the button on the navigation bar that will link to the chat program.  This one should only be accessible by registered users here so we shouldn't get floods of outsiders.  Notice too that it has separate spaces for each board.  We will see how it goes.  I do like what I see of this program so far.

It will be up and down as Tom  tweaks it a bit.   I jumped the gun and posted before Tom was done.   oops!

Georgia have you been able to get in?  Make sure you are logged into the forums here first.  You have to be logged in here in order to get in.  This chat is set up for only registered users on this forum.  Sign on  here and then once you are logged in click this link

http://webhealing.com/forums/chat

Let me know if that works.

Lauren is right that I am still working on it but it should be okay to use in the meantime.  I am stuck in getting the darn button up on the board.  If you really get stuck and can't get in you can go to your profile and change the theme to the default and then a button will be on the main navbar.

Try it now Georgia.  Log on to the board and then once you are logged in click the "chat" icon near the top of the page and see what happens.  The chat icon is between the "calendar" and "logout" icons.  Let me know how it works.
