Linda - The folks here have all experienced the death of a loved one.  Having someone move away for a while is quite different.  When someone dies you can't call them on the phone or wait for their return.  I hope you can understand that your problem in missing your daughter is a bit out of place here.  Thanks.

Linda,

My husband is gone, to heaven now... no calls or letters as Tom said...
but your post made me think of a time when he was working about two hours away, and we were both missing each other a lot.  I told him one night to touch his finger to the middle of his palm twice, and say "I'm right there...."  It was our own special signal for being there for each other... I can do it now, to "tell" him I am still right there, and believe he is too in his way.  My sister in law ended the eulogy that way too ... saying , "Robin says she is right there, Guy"... and touched her finger to her palm twice.

I suggest you have those small connections, lots of letters and call when you can afford it, plus email and pictures to keep in touch.  Save your pennies to go visit some day.  I'd walk on my knees to go see Guy, I'd give my right arm literally to see him for ten minutes and that is not an exageration ....

Also, my sister lives 3,000 miles away, and to cheer HER through a bad time, I sent her an angel (Andre Bocelli singing/cd)  a hug (a fuzzy blank like a leopard pattern...

Rejoice!  Laugh!
You CAN see talk, share with your loved one.... though you miss her, you still have her in the world.
Best
Robin
