It's soon to be 2009. I want to resolve to address the fear in my life, and work to patiently and lovingly turn the fears that hold me back into firmer faith in my Higher Power, in a Universe that I'm a welcome part of, and in myself, too.

I want to see myself becoming the person I know deep down inside I'm meant to be.

I want peace and comfort for everyone else here, too.

Welcome here 12thrive. My prayers and wishes for you to have strength as you face fears, stumble and continue to face them. You will do it. Your new friend Terri

These are indeed times where people are terrified of insecurity.  And yet these troubled waters may well be a good place to fish!

H. L. Mencken:
The average man does not want to be free. He simply wants to be safe.

Helen Keller:
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.

Martin Luther King, Jr.:
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

Peter Block:
As long as we wish for safety, we will have difficulty pursuing what matters.
