Hi Heather

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby Addilynn Rose, what a beautiful name! I hope you will come and share your sweet baby with us on the Child Loss board.

I came here about four years ago after my nephew was killed by a hit and run drunk driver. Chris is my brother's only child, my parents' only grandchild since I have no kids of my own (infertility).. he was just three weeks shy of his 17th birthday when he died.

Of course you are having a hard time with Christmas, because you should have your precious Addilynn Rose with you.. it is ok to be sad.. our first Christmas without Chris was just about 5 weeks after his death and I think we were just in shock.. we have altered our traditions over the past 5 years to find ways to remember Chris in our holiday gathering. And we do a candle ceremony which we all find comforting.

There just are not enough words for your loss.. I do hope you will find understanding here and a safe place to share your sweet daughter and all that you are feeling..

big hugs, Karen
Chris' aunt
