Dealing with the Pain

I lost both of my nephews in the last year and a half. Both of them were sudden and drug related. I was very close to both, there was only eight months between their deaths. Before this i had never lost anyone close to me. The empty feeling is the worse. Since their deaths i have not dated or gotten close to anyone. I go to work and back home. I now fear that everyone i love will suddenly die. I am overprotective of my family, just worried that something might happen. Has anyone else been in this place?

I am in the same place as you are right now. I lost my husband 7 months ago and we have 3 kids. My biggest fear is that something will happen to me and then they will not have either parent. I also fear losing one of them. I have lost 2 brothers, grandparents, husband and numerous friends and coworkers in the past 10 years. Death is very hard to deal with and accept. The only thing that gets me through all of it is my faith in God. I pray that you find the peace in your heart that only God can give you. If you have a church family, please go to them. That is what they are there for. Any fellow christian that you can talk to would be great. If you are like me, you probably feel like you're burdening them with your problems. It took me a while to figure it out, but they really are there to help and they see it as a great gift to be able to help someone in their time of need.
