I am new

Hello I am new to this board, but I am glad I found it. I lost my husband Dec. 20, 2007 and have been trying to adjust all by myself with no help from anyone. My son and daughter have been great, but they have homes and families and busy lives so I am alone. I have just some thru a period of, not going anywhere, not talking to anyone, just shutting myself off from everyone. I hope this perios in the grieving process is over.
I look forward to talking to everyone on this post.

Hi.
I just found this website myself.
I have lost my daughter due to a motorcycle accident very recently and I am beginning to think that maybe I should figure out where or how to volunteer some of my own time to people who need social interactions smile and maybe a touch or hug with other people. Maybe a veteran's home or other retirement home or place where people are home bound for example.
You have lost not only your husband, but best friend, etc. Perhaps contact with a multitude of people could help with all of the companionship you are missing.
Take Care.
