This is a letter I received from my son, a few months before his accident.
As we had a dissagrement.

A son to a father

Sometimes dad a misguided son makes mistakes,
u-turns, turnarounds we call them bad breaks.
A point in his life when his earth quakes.
But I’ve come to realize my biggest mistake was,
disrespecting you after all the things you do.
Pop’s I love you and I apologies to you too.
I am your youngest son so therefor I must,
represent, ask God and you for fogginess ,
and repent, realizing a true father is heavenly sent.
I’ve grown a lot these past few weeks
and this is a situation I vow never to repeat,
slow my roll and try to give up the streets.
If it wasn’t for you where would I be,
not having a home, living in the streets,
nothing to eat no shoes on my feet.
So please forgive me.

I did forgive my son just as our Heavenly Father forgives us
I have read this ever day since his accident, as it was the only letter my son ever wrote to me.

What a beautiful letter from Chad. You can cherish that forever. To see those words so carefully written by him are a blessing to you. He sounds like a wonderful young man and you should be so very proud of him.
