"Despair".... Poem -Dedicated to my Mom

My Mom took her life on Oct. 2nd 2007... I first wrote this poem exactly one year before, minus the last two lines. It was originally just about depression...but when I noticed the date, it had a whole new meaning for me...


"Despair"

Carry me, far away
Farther still, don't want to stay
Keep on going, I'm much too near
Need to be as far away, as I can be
 from here
I can't escape the pain
This saddness in my heart
Run as I may, I can't seem to tear
-mind and body apart
The ache so intense
Fleeing seems my only solution
Got to end this life-
Today marks my conclusion
