While this book encompasses Elizabeth's life and her discovery of and subsequent battle with breast cancer, I would recommend its reading if for nothing else but for the chapters on the loss of her teenage son, Wade. It is a beautiful account of a beautiful young man and she gives much credit to the online forums for her survival.
Perhaps I would have discovered the benefit of our online communities without this book (especially considering my own son Jesse's extensive involvement on the internet), but this book compelled me to seek them out actively and I have. And they have helped, in much the same way they helped her. I am thankful.
