Hi Everyone: To soothe my nerves, I am trying my hand at some freelance writing.  Cool (I have always loved writing.) If you'd like to read this article, and a few others I've written, here's the website:
 http://www.associatedcontent.com/
Copy and Paste in your browser, and when you get to the site, type in my real name:  Lonnette Harrell (Actually, the link works! It's a miracle!!!)  Shocked LOL!
All my articles will come up, and I will be adding more if you would like to put it in your favorites.  I plan to do quite a bit of writing on grief as well.  It helps me every time someone reads an article! Thanks so much!   Grin Lonnie

Hi Lonnie,
I'm just wondering how you are doing with your clean up at your house and wondering how you are doing?  My son who reads the posts now and then mentioned to me that he hadn't seen you post anything in a couple of days... So we were just hoping your are doing well.  Take care

Thanks for asking Christina. I went away for a couple of days while a man checked some of our ceilings and AC vents for mold or mildew.  We have so much to do at our house, that we don't know which way to turn. We have decided that there is a logical order to most of it, so that one won't ruin what the other has accomplished. So for now, we are working on getting the AC vents cleaned out, and some sheetrock replaced. Then we will remodel our downstairs bathroom, which is ancient (25+) years. Then we will do the carpet and padding downstairs, hopefully, before Christmas. Then after Christmas, the upstairs. (That is probably too much information.)  Grin Right now it just seems SO overwhelming that I want to give up, but I'm hanging in there. We were doing renovations to the back upper and lower decks when they hit the main water pipe and flooded our downstairs living area. (I am burned out on all of it.)  Roll Eyes
My health has not been good. My blood sugar is constantly in the 250-350 range, and the doctor says we are rapidly running out of options. My bio dad was a diabetic on the needle, and my mom is an insulin dependent diabetic as well. I have been controlling mine for years with oral Glucophage, and recently, I was put on Januvia. Januvia hasn't helped much at all. So for the next 2 weeks, I'll be combining the Glucophage and the Januvia, and daily exercise. We'll see. Please pray for me everyone, because it changes your life when you go on the needle. Then you run a greater risk of going low, and shooting 4x a day is no fun either. My doctor said that stress can really drive it up, and Lord knows I've had enough of that!
Sorry to go on too long. Guess I just needed to get it all out. Life has been so hard lately!  Cry  Hugs-Lonnie

Hello Lonnie, So sorry that I am just getting back to responding to the boards. I have had such a had time of it since my knee surgery, which has triggerd my back problems. I was so sorry to hear that you are having health issues as well, as everything else going on in your life!!!!!. I woke up this mornimg in so much back pain feeling sorry for myself, that I started to cry!!!!!! My husband has been my rock ,He has cooked cleaned, and took care of me, I couldn't ask for a better husband!!!!! I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself, you know how it is when are so over whelmed with pain that you just can't deal with it, any longer. I thought about my brother Vance who passed away in August, how he suffered, and how he took it with such grace and how strong he was, and that yet he still smiled through it all. I just want to be able to to be half as strong as he. To look at the bright side of it, that  God let me wake up today!!!!!! and be thank-ful for that. I will pray for you, and keep you in my thoughts as we go through our journey, because this is our path that we have to walk through.... and we will come through it with the grace of God...Who knows how much we can bear... Love you  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Sweetpea: I've been thinking about you and your knee surgery, and wondering how you were. I am sorry that the recovery has been difficult. Hang in there-I am sure that better days are coming.
After researching the article about how good crying is for you, maybe we should all cry a little more and release those toxins! LOL!
Please do let us know how you are feeling, and what the doctor says.
God bless you  Grin Lonnie
