This is one of my old favorites for general grief.  Therese Rando is one of this country's top experts on grief and is also a really nice lady!  This book has a little bit for everyone and offers a good overview of grief and healing.  Highly recommended.

I have considered the losses due to the death of a loved one (my son recently died) as leaving me with a disability. In my disability I have a choice to deal with grief or try to deny or escape it. Neither works. Therefore, I choose to deal with it. If I get life value from it, good, whatever, I will not run from it.
